Heart Attacks at School Involve More Adults Than Kids

This sums it up:
After reviewing 16 years of emergency medical service calls in the Seattle area, researchers found that faculty and staff were 25 times more likely than students to suffer cardiac arrest, according to lead researcher Dr. Tom Rea [send him mail to congratulate him!], an associate professor of medicine at Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington School of Medicine. "It is much more likely to occur in adults as opposed to students."

Rea was noncommittal about what should be done. "It is a loaded question," he said.

Next up for Dr. Rea? Arthritis research? Alzheimers? There's still lots of work to be done!

Smoking Boosts Risk for Head, Neck Cancers

Stop the vexing news presses! Blowing cancerous smoke past your mouth, nose and throat significantly increases your risk of cancer of the mouth, nose and throat.

What should we do about it?!?!! Fortunately, the study's authors provide a solution:
In order to lower head and neck cancer rates, public health efforts should continue to try to eliminate smoking, the study authors said.

I wish the article listed the name of study's authors so we could all send them congratulatory email on this radical finding.
