So there's this story on the Brown Family (the "Five Browns" is how they're being marketed). They're a nice family of 5 kids who all go or went to Juilliard for piano.

A few things vex me. First here's some hype from the record company: Gilbert Hetherwick, vice president and general manger of BMG Classics, called their repertory "real, honest classical music without any frills." Yeah, right, just real honest pieces arranged for FIVE PIANOS.

Then the other spin of the article is how they're Mormon (who cares?). Well they're very proud of their Mormon-ism. So it seems Nineteen-year-old Mormon men are generally expected to leave on two-year proselytizing missions. ... Gregory went through a period of tortured reasoning before deciding that he would leave for his mission this summer. ... Then the BMG offer came through! Hurray, well in this one case we can make an exception!

How nice that rigid religious beliefs can be set aside when large sums of money are involved.
